Buying surplus, dead stock & returns from UK businesses

For retailers, ecommerce brands and online sellers

Sell Your Customer Returns and Returned Stock

Returns pile up fast, and most of them never make it back onto the shelf. We buy customer returns, open-box and B-grade stock from UK businesses, so you can clear the backlog, recover some value and stop paying staff to process items that won't resell.

Can you sell customer returns?

Yes. Many retailers and online sellers sell their customer returns to a stock buyer instead of inspecting, repacking and relisting every item themselves. You send us details of the returned stock, we make an offer based on its condition and mix, and we collect it, either as a one-off clearance or on a regular schedule.

The hidden cost of handling returns

Every return costs you twice: once when you refund the customer, and again when you deal with the item. Someone has to open it, check it, decide whether it can be resold, repack it and put it back into stock. For low-value items, that process often costs more than the product is worth.

So returns end up in a cage in the corner of the warehouse, waiting for someone to have time. Meanwhile:

  • They take up space you need for sellable stock.
  • They lose value as packaging gets damaged and products date.
  • Your team spends hours on items that earn very little.
  • Your stock figures get harder to trust.

Selling returns in bulk turns that problem into one simple job: agree a price, and we take it away.

What returned stock do we buy?

We buy returned stock in most consumer categories, including:

  • Customer returns: items sent back by shoppers for any reason.
  • Open-box stock: opened but unused, often complete and working.
  • B-grade and cosmetic seconds: small marks, scuffs or packaging damage.
  • Unboxed and repackaged items: products without their original retail box.
  • Store returns: items returned to shops that can't go back on display.
  • Marketplace returns: Amazon, eBay and other marketplace returns, including FBA unfulfillable stock.
  • Mixed returns pallets: unsorted loads across different products and categories.

If your returns are mostly from Amazon, you might also find our page on how to sell Amazon FBA inventory useful.

How are customer returns graded?

Returns are usually sorted into grades based on their condition. The grade has the biggest effect on what they're worth. A typical grading looks like this:

Grade

What it usually means

Value

Grade A / Like new

Unused, complete, original packaging may be opened

Highest

Grade B

Minor cosmetic marks or damaged packaging, fully working

Good

Grade C

Visible wear, missing accessories or no original box

Lower

Untested / unsorted

Not yet checked; condition unknown

Priced on the overall mix

You don't have to grade the stock yourself. If you've already sorted it, you'll often get a better offer for the higher grades. If not, we can make an offer on the unsorted load.

How selling your returns works

1. Tell us about your returns

Send us a rough description: product types, approximate quantities or pallet count, and whether they're sorted or unsorted. A returns report or a few photos of a typical pallet helps us price it accurately.

2. Get an offer

We make you an offer, usually within 24 hours. For regular volumes, we can agree a per-pallet or per-load rate so you know what to expect each time.

3. We collect and pay

We arrange collection and pay you before the stock leaves. For ongoing returns, we can set up collections weekly, fortnightly or monthly to suit your volumes.

Regular returns collections for retailers

If returns are a steady part of your business, a one-off clearance only solves the problem for a few weeks. We can set up an ongoing arrangement instead, so returns leave your warehouse on a schedule rather than building up.

  • Agreed pricing, so you can forecast what returns will recover.
  • Scheduled collections, matched to your volumes.
  • Less handling: send returns to us instead of processing them in-house.
  • One contact who knows your stock and your business.

How much are customer returns worth?

Returns sell for less than new stock, but they're rarely worthless. The price depends on:

  • Category: electricals, branded homeware and toys usually hold value better than low-cost accessories.
  • Grade: the more like-new the items, the better the offer.
  • Sorting: sorted and graded stock is worth more than unsorted mixed loads.
  • Completeness: items with all their parts and accessories resell more easily.
  • Volume and consistency: regular, predictable loads can earn a better rate.

Customer returns FAQs

Do you buy unsorted returns pallets?

Yes. We can make an offer on unsorted, mixed returns. Sorted and graded stock usually gets a better price, but you don't have to do that work before selling to us.

Do you buy faulty or broken returns?

We buy some faulty items for parts or repair, depending on the category. Tell us what you have and we'll let you know straight away whether we can make an offer.

Can you collect returns regularly?

Yes. For retailers with ongoing returns, we can set up regular collections at an agreed rate, so returns don't pile up between clearances.

Do I need to remove my branding or customer details?

You should remove any customer information, such as delivery labels and invoices, before collection. If you'd like branded items handled in a particular way, let us know and we'll agree it upfront.

Is it worth selling returns instead of relisting them?

For high-value, like-new items, relisting can make sense. For lower-value or damaged returns, the time spent checking and repacking often costs more than you'd make. Selling them in bulk is usually the more efficient option.

Do you buy Amazon FBA returns?

Yes, including unfulfillable units. Create a removal order to bring them out of Amazon and we'll take it from there.
